So we went into the Doc because Oliver was a little congested and we wanted some saline drops or something. We ended up having blood drawn and Brax, Oliver and I stayed at the Dr. office for 3 hours because they wanted to get the labs back before we left, it was CRAZY! Then after they got the labs back, some of the stuff didn't look right, so they wanted to rule everything out before they sent him off... better safe then sorry, right? Some of the liver stuff looked funny, and his blood platelet count was 60 and it is supposed to be in the 200 to 350 range... 20 is when it starts to get scary he said. He is also a little jaundice... so separately, all these things can be explained away as normal to semi normal things, but what everyone is worried about is if they are all symptoms of one related thing... VERY CONFUSING! We stayed the night in the hospital and did another lab, where his blood count did go up a little to 123, and what they are checking for now is a congenital infection that he could have got when I was pregnant. If that is the case it would explain why he was so small and the blood count and everything else... but we will wait and see for the other test results to come back, and we might never know they said. If he did get a congenital infection, he is already over the infection, and these would just be the lasting effects, that hopefully would just return to normal in time.

Braxton has been drawing so many pictures lately, and I don't know what to do with this stack of art! My fridge is full... my walls are starting to fill, and as any parent knows, It's kinda hard to throw away these pictures. Well I was reading this thing ( I know, I had time to read!!) and It said to scan artwork into your computer and so you just have a disk of artwork for like each year that you can go back and look at! Great idea I thought so here is the first one! This one is of our Family :)

I know it has been awhile... we have been a bit busy : ) So I left Braxton at the restaurant yesterday so I could do a Costco run... and I was walking through the busy intersection right out front of the store holding the car seat and my clutch fell and popped open! Stuff everywhere... and it was windy so everything started flying!!! I was just standing there in the middle of the road in shock, trying to decide if it was really worth it to run all over in the street dodging cars holding the car seat, and this man comes up behind me and handed me my phone (that I didn't know I had dropped ) and starts grabbing things off the ground. I told him that I loved him... I know, a little drastic, but thank you didn't seem enough to express how I felt : ) So that was Yesterday. Tomorrow we are off to the Lost River Winery to check it out, because we are doing a catering thing there next month. Baby Oliver went to the Doc last Friday and was 6lbs! Way to grow honey

This morning we went to La Conner with Preston and Erin... Baby's first trip to La Conner! Then we went and made pasta at the restaurant... then we came home to meet Braxton!!! I MISSED HIM!!! We played outside, Alberto did some gardening and fixed Braxton's rope swing, then we had tacos... now we are going to bed!!! Did I mention what a great dad Alberto is to both our boys??? He has been drawing with Braxton, changing about 40 diapers a day, cleaning the kitchen, folding laundry, working at the restaurant, and giving me tons of love :)

I am ready for the world! I am rested, showered, I got to blow dry my hair!!! Braxton is off to school and my honey is off to work... I miss them like crazy, as always, but it is nice to get back into a routine. We went to the doctor on Monday and everything is great... Oliver is a little jaundice, and down to 5lbs 4oz. I still can't believe he is here, and this is our new wonderful family :)

It is 5:48... I have been awake since 2:30 with this little guy, and B will be up for school in about an hour and a half... not really enough time to get any asleep so I guess I will be napping today :) Oliver was up all night SCREAMING... Alberto was sure he was dying... I tried to assure him that is just what babies do sometimes. I think I will go make Cinnamon Rolls for Brax and Get ready for the day... I will get more pics on soon! Braxton is Amazing!!! He loves rubbing his brothers back and head, and will let me know right away if Oliver is sad and needs me :) Alberto went to the store yesterday, and I had both my boys... it was so weird and great to have both these perfect little men snuggled up next to me :) We haven't been sleeping much, and whoever said "sleep when they sleep" is still crazy! That's when you do laundry, dishes, check your email and update your blog! We will get him out into the world next week for visits so everyone can see our new little guy :)

Oliver Andrew Costante is here... FINALY!!!

It was perfect... We went in on Thursday night to the hospital and my contractions started at about 7am on Friday... Oliver was born at 9:34am! Alberto was AWESOME... rubbing when I needed rubbed, and backing off when I needed some space... I love this man... and I really have the best most handsome perfect boys EVER! We are all doing great, just trying to get settled in as a family at home and getting some MUCH needed rest :) He was 5 pounds 12 oz, but when we went home today he was 5 pounds 5 oz, he is SOOOO small!

But I am not frustrated at all, and am handling this very well :) I started having contractions on Thursday night... they got to every three minutes about a minute each so we went in to the hospital at 7 am Friday and they said I still wasn't progressing though, so to go home and come back when they get stronger or closer together. About 2pm they just STOPPED! They started again about 6pm, but when I woke up on Saturday, they were GONE!!! What is going on??? Believe me I will let EVERYONE know when this happens... I just feel like curling up and having cuddle time with my baby Brax until this new one comes.

Okay, so it has been a week... sorry I haven't been updating people :) Here it is... I went in Tuesday night to the hospital for a stress test (the baby, not me :) and I was having some contractions, but couldn't feel them... I wish I had that the first time! Then On Wednesday I went in for my Ultrasound to check the pressure on the cord, because that is what the Doctor was worried about last week, and all looks better! He gained weight also, they think he is about 5.12... give or take 2 pounds! Yesterday I went in for my reg check up with my midwife (who I LOVE) and I am a two centimeters along, that is when I went to the hospital with Brax last time :) I can't sleep anymore! Not because of the heartburn and "bigness"... but I am just so exited and anxious... When When When?? Alberto Is worried I won't love this one as much as I love Brax, he is probably right :) Kidding!!!! Parents do it all the time right? Don't you just grow more love? Well I go in again for my next stress test on Saturday morning and they will check little Oliver's heartbeat, for contractions and movement then we wait some more! Can you believe this is almost over? This really has been the fastest 9 months EVER!! I can't wait :)

So our baby boy might be making an early entrance people... Our sweet doc said maybe as early as next week... but we will know more at our Friday ultra sound. I also got my NEW CAR!!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE her!!! Any name Ideas?? She is a silver 2005 Honda Pilot, an 8 seater with Braxtons Fav, a DVD player! We are very in love already... Thank you Alberto!!!

We are all waiting for him... but it really is going fast... faster than my first little guy :) I think because I am running all over with the first one! Braxton has become the "official" thing picker upper, because I can no longer bend easily to pick up dropped keys, papers, toys etc. ( I can still bend, just not easily :) He is already such an AMAZING helper! Every day it seems Alberto and I look at him and stand there thinking when did he turn into a little boy... he is no longer our little baby/toddler... I wonder how different these two kids will be. Braxton is so sweet, patient, always wants to help, and can tell right away if some one is upset and wants to make them feel better. His feeling get hurt easily, and it is the sadist thing EVER when he says, "I'm sad" while his eyes fill with tears... It breaks your heart! How do you love your second as much as your first?? Alberto and I laugh, because my older Brother Jason is/was the mellow one... and I am/was NOT, I was a pain in the you know what... and Alberto's older sister Daniela was the mellow one and Alberto was (is) not. At all :) We think, poor Braxton, if this "older child/younger child" pattern continues.

Braxton and I got out on Friday afternoon and planted flowers and cleaned out all our planter boxes :) I told my mommy I was not going to do any gardening this year... except for my flower boxes, but when the sun comes out... the garden seems to draw you to it, saying "Do something to me! Make me beautiful!!" And here are some of my fav pics from this first week in sunny April!

Baby's Face... 2 dark spots in the middle are the eyes, nose, and cute little mouth...

Baby's face at top of pick, and cute little tummy on the bottom... 2 dark spots are eyes, with a cute little nose... I think that is a hand next to his face... and you can kind of se his ribs in his tummy... and yes, it is DEFINITELY a boy

He has been moving NON stop, and he has the cutest little hiccups :) We went this morning to our ultra sound, and you could see his face SOOO clear, he kept sticking out his tongue and licking his lips... I think he needed some Chapstick! He is the perfect size the Doc said at about 3.9 pounds... he said this will be no 10 pound baby like my honey was :) Thank goodness!!! We go back in on Wed for our 32 week check!

My baby number 1 was up ALL night last night with an ear infection and fever... poor baby :(

We got him in this morning and got him some good meds and these awesome things called mini pops... they are tiny tiny popsicles :) We got home and he has been sleeping now for the last 3 or so hours. This pic is from when he was almost turning 1... It feels like forever ago... my baby is a big boy now, and as bad as I feel when he is sick, part of me loves the cuddle bunny he becomes... is that wrong? :) OXOX

My Mommy wanted to see the stroller we want for the kids :) That sounds so weird!!!

It has a place for baby, and a place for Braxton to sit, or stand up if he wants... hence the name "Sit and Stand" I can't believe we only have 9 weeks to go!!! We go in for 1 more Ultrasound on Monday morning because baby boy is measuring a little small... I'm sure it's fine though, and we get to see baby again!

Life is going like 400 times in fast forward... Are we having a baby in 10 weeks????? OMG!!! Between Braxton & field trips, helping with catering lately, Cost Co runs, wine orders, rewriting wine lists, making 530 labeled tags for the new wine system, dogs, laundry, vacuuming, oh and getting dressed, I can't forget that and haven't yet :)~ As crazy as life is right now, our family is super happy and in love... what more could you ask for? Braxton and I went to the Children's museum this morning for a couple hours...
It was very fun... and really busy! Then we came home and cleaned... EVERYTHING!!!
Then I realized our house wan't smelling febreezy anymore, and we ran to Target for yummy smelling stuff :) I am a happy girl now. On Tuesday I will be in my 3rd trimester... WEIRD!!! This thing has flown by... I feel great all the time, I sometimes get a little tired, but other then that I feel AWESOME! If this is how every pregnancy is, I could do this like 4 more times... Kidding honey!
Just one more :) Oh and we sold our Motorcycle last week... Not enough seats anymore!

Yesterday was a great day... After Braxton went to school, and Alberto went to work, we went up to Bham and put a deposit down on the wedding space... it's starting to feel real... then we went to the touch tank down by the marina... That is what Braxton said the other day when we turned on one of the Obama balls the other night, I can see it, she was in a white dress, he was in a tux, they were dancing... it was VERY cute!
I love Obama... it was so hard not to cry when we were listening to his speech on the radio. He is so full of confidence and hope and heart... he makes you believe everything will be better... not tomorrow, and not next year, but it will turn around, and that's what we need, to know the future is going to be a better place for everyone.

On another note...
My Honey and I are getting married :)
Saturday, November 14th! Only our families and close friends will be there, and we chose that date because it sounds romantic... and Alberto's parent's will be back from Italy for a visit in early November, and yes, it gives me 6 months to get slim and cute for that spectacular dress! There is so much going on right now, I feel like life is going in 3 billion directions at once, and sometimes I don't know where to focus or what to do next, let alone pick a baby name for this little boy... Any Ideas people? We are no longer sharing our ideas... :) Because everyone seems to have an opinion ~it was their dog's name, or it sounds Jewish, or they just don't like it... Come on people!!!

Brax and I are curled up on the couch under blankets finding recipes and staying warm :) Yesterday I made biscotti and chocolate truffles... and next on the list for today is lemon loaf (Starbucks recipe) and fudge... yum! Alberto is bringing me home flour from the restaurant right now... I love that man :) The snow is coming down in HUGE flakes, and Braxton's teacher just called to tell us school was closed for the next two days. Braxton and I played Candyland last night for the first time... he did awesome, I only had to tell him the rules one time, then he won after I got sent back to the gumdrop :) I can't wait to see everyone for Christmas! OXOX

Yes a boy!
Braxton went with us this morning because he was home sick from school. When the Doctor said "And there is little Alberto", Alberto and I looked at each other and waited a few seconds, then Alberto said, "It's a boy?" And the Doctor said "it would kind of weird if little Alberto was a girl". Alberto said, "Brax your going to have a brother!" and Braxton said, "no, a little sister"... I knew how he felt... I didn't cry, but I was kind of close there for about half an hour :) Then I went out and got boy clothes and I'm getting exited. I said we need to try again for a girl, and the Doc said we have to wait for this one to get out first... really??? :)

Okay, so I knew Christmas was soon, but I just looked at my desktop calender... It is NEXT WEEK people!!! So party here?? I will get my invites out... but does like 3 or 4 sound good to everyone? Just like whenever people get done with their family stuff and get ready for the day :) Should we do the white Elephant gift again??? That was really fun :) 10 dollars or under? Two of my babies (Alberto and Braxton) are sick, and the other is being VERY active... it kind of scares me :)

I love snow, I am freaking out!!! I was listening to Delila with Braxton last night in the kitchen as we decorated a gingerbread house... and people were calling in with their Christmas traditions, and as I was remembering the things we use to do when I was younger, I realized that decorating a gingerbread house each year listening to Delila is one of Braxton and my's traditions :) So are making those clay hand prints... my mommy started that one :) It's funny because it seems like so much work. Life that is. We went out and got the whole gingerbread house kit, and when we got home I'm like trying to put it off... "let's do it after your bath honey, or after dinner? Maybe tomorrow would be better". Then I realize how important it is to him by the disappointed look on his face, and he thinks he will never get to do it when I start talking that way, so I'm like, "Okay, lets do this!!! Get your stool and lets turn up 104.3 and find all the candy in the house for you to use so mommy doesn't eat it". He got so exited, and I think, this is what life is about. It just seems crazy hard to get started on somethings... you start thinking what a mess it will make, or I need to do this or that... But while you are gluing walls together and candy keeps falling on the floor and Delila is talking about Christmas, and my son is having a blast and laughing like crazy, I think what would I have done if he would have agreed to wait? Watched TV? Do a little laundry? This was SOOOOO much better :)

And I'm sure everybody knows, Christmas is my FAVORITE!!! It makes me so happy :) Braxton and I got up Sunday morning at 7:30 and made dog bones and christmas handprints then we all headed to Ikea to get his Christmas climber bed. We came up with some new baby names too, but we are not telling!!! ----> You would think we were CRAZY :) I am getting exited for a boy too, we saw a blue crib at Ikea and that's the first time I thought two boys would be pretty cute;) We went with mom to get her Christmas tree on Saturday, I love it... I hope we still come together like this when we are all older (Emma and Ben) and live out in the world. Christmas is just a time for me where I need to be around the people I love :) If you didn't get it before, Christmas makes me VERY happy. Some people, I won't name names, think Christmas is too commercial and it's about stores trying to sell stuff and paper and ribbons... and as much as I LOVE paper... Christmas, I tell him, is what you make it. If you make it about cookies and homemade dog bones and lights and family tree buying and that happy feeling that just floats through the air and makes you smile, then that is what Christmas is about. Making sure that the people you love, know that they are loved. I remember asking my dad what he wanted for Christmas when I was little, and would say a hug, and I would be like, a hug??? And I remember thinking I need to get something or make something to show him how much I love him. But now that I'm older, (oh jeeze) and have Brax, I understand just how great a hug really is, because it say's plain and simple, I love you.

These kids are WAY two cute! On Sunday the fam got together so we could celebrate baby Ava's 2nd Birthday! Happy Birthday again you cute girl :) Braxton and Ava are sooo adorable whenever they get together... He will be such a good big brother in May :)
I went to the Doctor this morning and everything is great! I have my ultrasound on December 16th to find out boy or girl!!! And everyone will be getting a call right after :)

But I was reading this morning between like 12 calls between me and my mommy... and out of 65,129 voters in Skagit County, only 37,853 people voted!!! That is only 58% all you non math people! Braxton was playing in Papa Ron's scary yard! He loved playing with lilli and her friends,
looking at the spider webs and the smoke from the smoke machine! His very favorite though was the trick or treating house to house... his very first time :) He would walk up to the house with the girls, say tick or treat and run back down to where Papa, Dan,Uncle Jason and I were waiting, "Mom I said thank you, look what I got!!!" Every House :) His bucket got a little heavy, and his little legs got kind of tired at one point... and papa carried him back :) We had so much fun, thank you guys!!

We got up early, made waffles and grapes... well I didn't make the grapes, but I did make the waffles... Then Alberto and I took him to School. They got to go to the park across the street, worked on writing their names, had fish crackers and made bean art with glitter on sticky paper :) He also played with a toy castle with a little boy named Chance... awwwww

Awww... He is almost 4!!! Wow... where did four years go? Or the last like 10? He is so much work... My brain is GONE... and as I tell him to stop picking his nose, stop pulling on the dog's leg, not to pee outside (at least in front of people), not to jump on the couch, not to stand on the table, remind him every 3 minutes to say please and thank you, hello and goodbye and not to ask for anything because it is rude... practically pulling my hair out... I find myself thinking I need another one... like REALLY thinking I need another one... What is up with that??? Some crazy joke from nature I suppose... Very funny.

My Baby Boy Wrote his name by himself for the first time!!! We have been working on it for the last couple days... Staight line, bubble bubble... Straight line, bubble, line... Up down across... Pirate x ... and so on :) My big boy!!! He drew the O and said, "Hey, I have a lemon in my name!" It really does look like a lemon :)

We Had soooo much fun... Here is Brax at Iao Valley being a cutie papootie

And at one of the many beaches we lived on...

It took us FOREVER to find this place, and i can't BELIEVE Alberto and I didn't kill eachother :)
It is this place where the ocean has worn a hole in the bottom of this lava rock, and when a wave comes, the water can shoot up through the "blow Hole" up to 70 feet! Crazy stuff :)

This is on the way to Hana... Beautiful beach, you should have seen all the warning sighs though! "Don't go in the water" ---> Jelly fish, man of war, strong current, large wave break... this is also one of the areas the sharks like... and then they have another sigh... no lifegard on duty... like a
lifegard could save you from all that! And there were STILL a couple of people in the water!!!
If Braxton talks about the cow on the beach, this is where it was :) They have a large Lava cave here that we explored... Braxton loved it!
